CardioBionic MedTech India develops artificial heart systems to support patients with advanced heart failure. Our focus is on creating reliable, affordable, and accessible alternatives to heart transplants, especially in regions with limited options.
CardioBionic MedTech, our Indian division, is positioned to become the global manufacturing hub for advanced artificial heart pumps. We collaborate with IISc Bangalore, IISc Medical Foundation, and ARTPARK to advance cardiovascular research. Supported by NITI Aayog and working with ICMR, CDSCO, and BIRAC, we are preparing for pre-clinical and regulatory milestones.
The idea for CardioBionic began with a conversation between Dr. K.R. Balakrishnan and Dr. Pete Ayre in Chennai. Their shared interest in improving heart failure treatment led to the founding of CardioBionic in Australia and India. With AUD 5 million invested, we've developed an LVAD system that has successfully completed 14-day animal trials and is progressing through reliability and regulatory phases.
